Drewry: World Container Index Down 1.3% This Week

Drewry’s composite World Container Index reduced by 1.3percent to $7,768.18 per 40ft container this few days

Our detailed assessment for Thursday, 28 April 2022.

The composite list reduced by 1.3percent this few days, but, continues to be 55.9% more than per year ago.

• The Typical composite list associated with the WCI, evaluated by Drewry for year-to-date, is $8,895 per 40ft container, which will be $5,613 more than the five-year average of $3,281 per 40ft container.

• Drewry’s World Container Index composite list reduced by 1.3percent to $7,768.13 per 40ft container, it is 55.9% more than similar few days in 2021. Cargo prices on Shanghai – Rotterdam and Shanghai – Los Angeles dropped 2% each to $10,199 and $8,587 per feu correspondingly. Likewise prices on Shanghai – Genoa slid $175 to achieve $11,904 per 40ft container. Nonetheless, prices on Rotterdam – Shanghai gained $12 to achieve $1,417 per 40ft package. Prices on l . a . – Shanghai, Shanghai – nyc, brand new York – Rotterdam and Rotterdam – nyc hovered around earlier days degree. Drewry wants place rates to keep steady within the following days.
