UK consulting and engineering agency Wooden has secured a contract from Woodside Vitality for the Sangomar floating manufacturing storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel growth, situated 100 km south of Dakar, Senegal.
The FPSO facility is particularly designed for the processing of hydrocarbons and the storage of oil earlier than being transported to markets world wide. On completion in 2023, the FPSO could have a manufacturing capability of roughly 100,000 bpd of crude oil.
Underneath the contract, Wooden will implement a mixed manufacturing administration system and digital metering system on the Sangomar FPSO management room and Woodside’s onshore workplaces in Senegal and Perth, leveraging digital capabilities and its Virtuoso platform, offering real-time monitoring of the manufacturing system along with choice assist for advanced operations and superior surveillance for hydrate and wax administration.
“The PMS will guarantee continuity of manufacturing and minimised flaring, which reduces the greenhouse gasoline emissions and methane depth of Sangomar. Additional, the VMS minimises the variety of subsea movement meters required for the event,” Wooden mentioned. The current contract win follows on from Wooden’s ongoing work with Woodside in executing the movement assurance design evaluation for the Sangomar FPSO growth.
