According to Alphaliner, Ocean Network Express (ONE) says it will invest $20 billion in its ocean liner business between now and 2030 to add roughly 150,000 TEUs of new build tonnage to its fleet each year. The growth strategy marks a change for the Japanese line, which has previously chartered large amounts of tonnage from founders MOL, NYK and K Line.

ONE now has orders for 38 vessels of around 520,000 teu. The new investment program would be in addition to these ships, the company said. The line will also expand its charter program. Although ONE has been one of the few to put a number on its long-term investments, its planned fleet expansion is considered quite reasonable in light of market growth predictions and given that new buildings will replace some of the tonnage chartered, confirms Alphaliner

Likewise, FullAvanteNews wants to pay tribute on its 4th anniversary to ONE Colombia, which has stood out for its good service and reliability in shipments both from the Far East to the west coast of Colombia and in the Atlantic to the east coast of South America and to North America.
